Cooking with Mushrooms, March 19, 2026

This encore workshop is an introduction to cooking with mushrooms. It is meant for people who are mushroom-curious but may not have a lot of experience with these delectable fungi. We will focus on basic, tasty recipes that can be incorporated into regular meals or fancy occasions. This includes a four-course meal with a mushroom snack, appetizer, and main course, and a side dish. Possible menu items include mushroom jerky, stuffed mushrooms, and mushroom risotto. We will also include a favorite mushroom-style dessert—our popular meringue cookies in the shape of mushrooms, which often adorn Christmas Yule logs. Of course, dessert would not be complete without mushroom coffee!
