This encore workshop is an introduction to the wonderful world of mushrooms. This includes the essential role that mushrooms play in our diets and the world ecosystem! Participants will learn all about the history of people and mushrooms; mushroom biology; mushroom nutrition; mushroom foraging; edible, medicinal, and poisonous mushrooms; wild mushroom facts; and the role of mushrooms in our future. All will learn how to grow mushrooms and prepare their own mushroom monotubs.
